"Hi Lurdes,
I just received a postcard from you and on it it says you are a cancer survivor. I had my lung removed because of cancer in 2001. I know how isolating and lonely a battle in can be. I think the most thing that I wished had been easier was the way some people start to treat me. It is not always easy for someone to talk and deal with a cancer sufferer, they can come across different than what they normally are with you, or they will cut you off completely because they cant deal at all, I think that was the hardest for me. But the light at the end of the tunnel does eventually arrive :) I now have a job I love and was even able to afford a car of my own. My children were my rock and their love got me through.
